Slavic Roots

Flower Vibes + Go Rent

Food became the decor basis: everything that people could grow, harvest or cook himself: berries, vegetables, cereals, eggs. Their color, shape and texture set the tone for the entire design.
The main idea of this capsule collection to show what kind of food peasants could afford in the X-XII century. Decorators decided to transfer the simplicity of village life to a modern city, so the concept appeared by mirrors and glossy surfaces. This is how connection between the past and the present looks like.
Go Rent elements: pattern on the plates, silver touch in charger plate and flatware, green glass and natural linen napkin — this set brought a mix of modern and folklore. Silver in the serving and chairs connecting the idea of industrialism with the historical idea.
Unique elements: minimalist menu with an old Slavic font and fluffy chickens — after shooting they were transported to the flower farm. Rounded shapes, natural dense green linen, elements that remind us of Russia but through associations and sensations.
Color palette: green color in Russian folk culture is one of the main elements of color symbolism along with red: it is the color of freshness and life. Decorators decided to move accent from the red to green and beige as the basis. Red was taken only for few details.
Floristic: field grasses, sedge, wheat
